One day Jack and George were playing war on a grass field in front of their house. George wanted to go home but Jack was going to the tunnel.  Therefore, George followed him and then they saw a Jeep coming out from the tunnel.  They wanted to run away but two soldiers were blocking their way. "Drop your guns," the soldiers said.  "But this is just a toy gun," Jack said.  "Right now," the soldier said. George and Jack both dropped their guns.  The soldier picked up the toy gun and then said, "You are not supposed to be here kids. Didn't you see the No Entry sign?"  George said, "Where?"  The soldier commanded them to get into the car and drove them home. The next day Jack and George's mother went to work.  Jack and George were on their way to the Ontario Lake and they saw four Men wearing the same black suits.  Jack and George hide on a branch tree.  They watched the four men installing a bomb on the railroad! Later, Jack and George hid under the water silently and a train passed the railroad.  Jack and George thought that they would set the bomb to explode but they didn't.  But then one guy in black suit saw them, George and Jack didn’t knew. Four guys in black suits caught George and Jack. They took George and Jack to a house, where no one comes and goes. Their boss told one guy to kill them. But that guy didn’t kill them because he was felt bad to kill two kids. Then they both cut ropes tied to their hand with a knife then somehow they escaped. Eric Walters biography
It all began in 1993 when Eric was teaching a Grade 5 class. His students were reluctant readers and writers and Eric began to write to encourage them to become more involved in literature. His first novel, Stand Your Ground was created for this class. It is set in the school where Eric was teaching, Vista Heights Public School, and some of the features of the community of Streetsville and many of the names of his students were incorporated into the story.
Since this first novel Eric has literally exploded on the children's young adult literature scene. Over the following years he has published sixty more novels with more scheduled for the coming years. These novels have been enthusiastically received by children and young adults and critically acclaimed by teachers, reviewers and parents. Eric's novels have won more than 80 awards including eleven separate children's choice awards. He is the only three time winner of both the Ontario Library Association Silver Birch and Red Maple Awards - in which over 125,000 students participate and vote for the winners. While remaining one of the best selling children's authors in the country, Eric's novels are now available in places as far away as New Zealand and Australia and have been translated into French, German, Swedish, Norweign, Chinese, Dutch, Korean, Japanese, Italian, Spanish and Slovenian. Eric has also moved beyond merely writing for children. He has presented to over 1,400,000 children across the country. His presentations blend drama, storytelling, audience participation and interaction. He not only wants his audience to hear about his books, but about the writing process and how they can become more excited about writing.

Journal Response
This Book relates to the world because kids are still getting kidnapped from everywhere around the world. They kidnap kids for money, or if kid saw something illegal. Usually kids try to run but they didn't run. They were trying to stop kidnapper's mission. And only some kids do that. Only some kids are brave like Jack and George.
